Wellington Win Junior Quads

Wellington's two junior teams have dominated the annual Shand Salver and Marton Junior Quads, held at the superb Marton GC in the Manawatu/Wanganui district.

The Shand Salver team scored 3 nice wins over Man/Wang, Taranaki and Hawkes Bay, highlighted by 3 from 3 wins by Luke Weir-Smith and another Judgeford player Apirana Ngarimu being unbeaten with two halves and a win, providing the impetus for the team to lift the trophy.

In the Marton Junior Quad, the 10 player mixed team, which sees the top 5 players compete off the stick and the bottom 5 off handicap, continued recent year's results with 3 dominating pefrormances over our neighbouring districts.

No.1 and captain Teisa-mania Vak lead from the front with 3 wins from 3 matches, and with fellow players Peta Time and Mia Kawai-puha also having 3 wins, the team were in commanding form.
