Sam Marsters and Darae Chung Win 72 Hole Strokeplay Titles

Two of the ditrsict's rising stars completed notable wins at the Wellington 72 Hole Strokeplay, held across the two Hutt Valley venues of Boulcott's Farm and Royal Wellington golf clubs.

Sam Marsters chased down the first day leader after 36 holes at Boulcott's Farm, Ciaran Sim, establisng a 7 shot shot lead after 54 holes, Ciaran reducing this to just one shot with 5 holes to go in the final round. This prompted a stunning response from Marsters, who posted birdies at  14, 15, 16 and 17 to come home the winner by 5 shots.

In the Women's event Darae Chung showed her class, after an extended campaign in the USA, proving far to good for the local field, posting her 4th victory after wins in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
