Wellington's Darae Chung selected for Development Squad to compete at South Pacific Junior Championship
New Zealand Golf has been invited to send a junior development squad to a new event, called the South Pacific Open, that is being held at the Tina Golf Club in Noumea (8th - 10th August 2016).
The team is to be made up of both junior boys and girls, with one player being required to be under 13.
Wellington Golf Inc., is pleased to announce that Darae Chung (a member of the WGI High Peformance Academy, and the WGI Women's & U19 girls Representative Squads) has been selected to take part. Darae will be joined by two boys - Inia Logan (Otago) and Tom Parker (Canterbury) - and one other girl - Hilary O'Connor (Canterbury).
The NZ Golf Junior Development Squad will be supported by Jay Carter as team coach and manager. This is the first time the event will be played and NZ Golf are grateful to have been invited. We at Wellington Golf are excited that one of our up-and-coming players is to take part in this inaugural tournament.
Congratulations Darae! We wish you and the team all the best for the tournament.
