Masters Team Open 2023 Campaign with Win

The Wellington Men's Masters team travelled north to Gisborne, the venue for the Freyberg Masters National Interprovincial later in the year, to play teams from Poverty Bay and Hawkes Bay.

At a great golf course which was in wonderful condition given the province's weather over the last 6 months, and being mid July, Wellington had good wins over Poverty Bay Mens 6 - 2, Hawkes Bay Masters 6 - 2 and Poverty Bay Masters 5.5 - 2.5.

Some great golf played in good weather conditions, highlighted by Matt Pegg, captain EJ Nicholson and Mark Bowden, who all recorded 3 wins, and No.1 Jonno Cane who went 11 under on his last 2 rounds for victories over Doug Holloway and Anaru Reedy.
