Ford and Chung Hutt City New World Champions

Jayden Ford and Darae Chung showed their class, posting quality wins against the strongest fields seen in a club 36 hole open in some time.

The Hutt City New World 36 Hole Open, featured all of the capitals 2020 National Interprovincial team members and most of the distrcits leading players. 

Jayden and Darae, the No.1 players in these teams in 2020, showed they are still the players to beat. In tough conditions, high winds and some rain, on a superbrly conditioned Boulcott's Farm layout, the two teenagers lead after round 1 and maintained that position through the afternoon to lift the silverware.

In the coming weeks Darae will look to repeat her 2020 victory in the District Women's 36 Hole Strokeplay at Otaki, while both players and many of the weekend's competitors will have an eye on the NZ Strokeplay at Paraparaumu Beach in March.
